Shannon Michalski

Shannon Michalski is a Licensed Master Social Worker who works with adolescents, adults, couples, groups, and families, with a focus on healing from trauma, chronic stress, and PTSD. She believes that while change can feel overwhelming, it can also be gentle and transformative when approached with compassion and care.

Shannon takes a holistic perspective, recognizing that people are more than their thoughts- they are their whole selves: body, mind, and lived experiences. She incorporates somatic experiencing into her practice, helping clients reconnect with their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and build the capacity for lasting growth.

Her therapy space is inclusive, non-judgmental, and collaborative. Clients are encouraged to show up authentically- to laugh, cry, be curious, and explore openly. Shannon does not believe in a one-size-fits-all model; instead, she walks alongside her clients as they identify what matters most to them, offering evidence-based practices to support the process along the way.

Outside of work, Shannon is an LGBTQIA+ activist, artist, cancer survivor, urban forager, and general goofball. She has a HUGE chosen family, 3 best friends, 2 cats, and a crazy dream to heal the world- one person at a time.
