Jocelin Garfio is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Kansas and Missouri who works with children, adolescents and young adults. Her style is warm, approachable, and collaborative, with a focus on helping clients feel comfortable being themselves in therapy. She enjoys supporting people navigating neurodivergence, anxiety, emotional regulation, self-esteem, relationships, trauma, and life transitions.
Her approach is person-centered, neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. Jocelin is continuing to build her clinical skills in CBT, TF-CBT, play therapy, and attachment-focused work, and believes therapy should be adapted to the person rather than expecting the person to fit a particular approach. When working with younger clients, she values collaborating with parents and caregivers when helpful while still creating a space that feels like the client’s own.
Jocelin is a native Spanish speaker and values the role culture, family, and identity can have in therapy. Outside of work, she enjoys playing games on her PC, spending time with her Italian Greyhound, and recently, finding new trails to walk.
