Louisa brings academic achievement, advanced clinical training, and professional experience to mental health care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston before continuing her graduate education at Johns Hopkins University. At Johns Hopkins, Louisa earned both her Master's degree in Nursing and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice, specializing in Psychiatric-Mental Health.

As a doctoral-prepared Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Louisa has pursued rigorous advanced training in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based treatment. She combines this academic expertise with a thoughtful, collaborative approach, recognizing that effective mental health treatment should be grounded in both clinical evidence and an understanding of each patient's unique experience.

Louisa provides both medication management and psychotherapy, with a clinical philosophy rooted in holistic, compassionate, and individualized care. "Our mental health does not exist separately from our physical health, daily habits, environment, or relationships," Louisa explains. This perspective informs her comprehensive approach to treatment, which may incorporate psychotherapy, medication, behavioral change, and strategies that support long-term wellness.

In addition to her academic accomplishments, Louisa brings over five years of experience as a psychiatric registered nurse. She has worked extensively with adolescents and adults experiencing a broad range of mental health conditions, including eating disorders, anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and other psychiatric concerns. Much of her nursing career has been rooted in residential treatment settings, where she cared for individuals with complex and co-occurring mental health conditions. Earlier in her career, she worked as an emergency department nurse at Cleveland Clinic, developing a strong foundation in acute psychiatric care and crisis intervention.

Louisa is passionate about supporting individuals affected by eating disorders, informed by early personal experiences witnessing the profound impact these illnesses can have on individuals and families. She has served as an eating disorder recovery mentor and as a nursing supervisor at an adolescent eating disorder residential treatment center.

Louisa believes that seeking mental health support is an important step toward greater well-being and that patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and understood throughout the process. She works collaboratively with each individual to develop a treatment approach that reflects their goals, values, and needs.

"Being a part of someone's mental health recovery journey is an honor," Louisa shares. "Thank you for trusting me with yours."
