As an LCMFT, I am trained to look at presenting concerns from a systemic perspective. Considering generational components, family of origin details, and learning about emotional foundations are primary parts of my therapeutic process. I work with children, individuals, couples, and family systems. I pride myself on meeting my clients where they are and primarily using a solution-focused, strengths-based, and CBT approach. Through personal experience, I have come to value my work with clients of all ages who are navigating the ever-changing waters of grief. Anxiety & depression are also common areas of focus in the work that I do. The use of play therapy has helped me to connect with children in the most effective way they communicate; through play. For couples, I am a Prepare/Enrich facilitator. There is an additional cost for these individualized assessments that help couples identify areas of strength and growth within their relationship. Based on the results, there are additional worksheets specifically designed to enhance the areas of growth that will be utilized in sessions to work towards building a healthy and fulfilling, life-long relationship.
A little bit about me: I grew up on a ranch in South Central Kansas. I graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish. From there, I moved to Spain and taught English in a small village in the Andalusia region. I am a passionate season ticket holder for the Kansas City Chiefs and moved to the metro area in 2018. I love to travel and experience different cultures and hope to go on as many adventures as I can in this short life we have on this beautiful planet.
